1. Please describe your Volunteer role.

Making the beef stew. serving food to hungry rogainers.

2. How much time did the role take?

It was a 12 hr event, however we only served food in the last few hours of the event. In between that, we cooked, we had breaks, went for walks, and had a few laughs.

3. Describe your experience...the good, the bad and the ugly.

Good - Apple crumble. The bad - I had to stand on a box to stir the big pot! The ugly - when we ran out of the apple crumble.

4. Were there any memorable moments at this event.

The mad rush for the apple crumble.

5. what advise can you offer to future catering assistants?

Make plenty of apple crumble.

Have you volunteered for a VRA event and would be willing to put a blurb about your experience on the web site to help inform and encourage others to volunteer. The VRA is run soley by volunteers! Volunteering is a very important role and crucial to the survival of the VRA. ...Did we mention it was fun as well?
